Which format of products works best on a daily deals website? 1 product, 3 products, 6 products or a whole page split into categories? What do you think?
Personally I think 3 deals per day is best as its not too much information in the buyers face. Remember too many options and buyers will give up from "too much information."
I feel one product is not really enough, you take one check and instantly decide whether you want it or not. If you have been checking a one product, daily deals site for a whole week and nothing has taken your interest then you are unlikely to return again very often.
Having 3 products on offer means that theres more chance that one f the products that day will appeal to each demographic ie Mums, Teenagers, Men. Processing three products on the one screen requires a little more thought from the buyer , and keeps the buyer interested, and returning each day. Theres more chance something will take their fancy.
More than six products and you tend to be running a catalog website and it seems to take away the urgency of a one day sale. It seems like the products are there to stay. How many products can you realistically offer at an extremely low price? Not many.
